Our own fitting team
Fitting is headed up by Gareth Oliver, one of our long-term fitters before he took over the company in 2015.
A style that suits the house
Team the clean lines of brilliant white frames or the natural woodgrain effect of golden oak, rosewood or mahogany, with Georgian, stained, etched, diamond lead or bevelled glass designs. Contemporary or classic, any room can be enhanced by long-lasting windows that require minimum maintenance.

A, B or C: what the energy rating means
To meet national standards, all windows today have to achieve an 'A', 'B' or 'C' level energy rating. Altus Windows supply and install a window system that achieve 'A' Window Energy Rating.
Specifications can vary between manufacturers' window suites, but in plain terms the letters mean this.
- A'A' Rated
The same as 'B' rated with additional 'opti-white' glass. This has had the iron removed to increase thermal efficiency. It also features a thermal insert in the cavity of the frame.
- B'B' Rated
The same as 'C' rated but with argon gas-filled sealed units and a low conductive spacer bar to separate the two panes of glass.
- C'C' Rated
Much the same window that has been available since the year 2000. Its main feature is 'K Glass'.

Founded in Wolvey
Peter Barratt starts Altus Windows in Wolvey, on the Leicestershire border. Altus were the first manufacturers of UPVC windows in the Hinckley area.
2001
A new factory
The company moves into a new factory on the Station Road Industrial Estate in Market Bosworth.
2003
John Croxall takes over
Mr Barratt retires and a former employee, John Croxall, takes control of the business.
2015
Gareth Oliver
John steps down to pursue other avenues in the glazing industry, and Altus Windows passes to Gareth, who had already been fitting for the company for over ten years.

Would highly recommend! We are absolutely over the moon with the work completed for us. We chose Altus Windows after seeing the fantastic job they had done for our neighbours, and we’re so glad we did. They replaced our guttering, fascias, soffits, two bay windows and two other smaller windows (including new frames and stained glass). Ten years ago Gareth and the Altus Windows team fitted new windows, patio door and front door. They still function beautifully and look as good as they did on the day they were fitted. Absolutely brilliant, we were recommended Gareth and I’m so glad that we were! Gareth replied immediately and then came out in just 2 days after initially requesting a quote. Very professional and honest about the work that needed doing and the work that did not need urgently doing unless I wanted it. Informative and advised me well on my questions I had to ensure we got a fair experience. They sent a full quote breakdown shortly after. Gareth booked me in for what was quite a large job for 2 weeks later and scaffold was up and materials were delivered promptly before he was due to start. Work carried out was really great and quality installation.
